Advent has been such a blessed time with candles and carols, food and fellowship and now Christmas is just around the corner. It has been lovely to share the advent season with the bible study group and to think and the reason for the season. It was such a blessing to have the young people involved in the Carol service/Nativity, they certainly brought something extra . Now we are just about to enter the Christmas season, to be reminded that God came to earth in the flesh of his flesh and lived as we do, experienced all that we do and showed us the way to live. In the busyness of the season it is good for us to take time to remember exactly what it is we are celebrating. The birth of a baby, born to be king, born to show mankind the way to eternal life, born that we may know just how much God loves us. I do pray that you will all have a very blessed and peaceful Christmas and the joy that comes from knowing and loving our Lord God will be yours in 2020. The words of Isaac Watts in the hymn that he wrote in praise of the birth of our Saviour says it all really 'Joy to the world, the Lord has come!' Shall we make room to receive him once again in a few days and make room for him in our hearts? Rev Sue.
