Outside our Comfort Zone – Matthew 5: 38-48
Key Verse: 47 And if you greet only your own people, what are you doing more than others? Do not even pagans do that?
47 And if you greet only your own people, what are you doing more than others? This is a fair question; what are we doing differently to others when we only care for those whom we love and know. With Lent just around the corner we are challenged to reflect and prepare ourselves for the sacrifice Jesus made so we can have the gift of salvation. Jesus died on the cross for all of us; therefore we should sieze the opportunity to do something kind for someone other than our neighbour. 44 But I tell you, love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you, 45 that you may be children of your Father in heaven. He causes His sun to rise on the evil and the good, and sends rain on the righteous and the unrighteous. We are all God’s children, so let us step outside of our comfort zone and aim to be more like our heavenly Father.
Have a blessed week
